I create sculpture in different scales for both indoor and outdoor environments. Some of my pedestal size artworks can be commissioned in monumental scale. I envision many of these large scale sculptures in public spaces and parks. In creating outdoor sculpture, I focus on how people in a community will interact with the artwork. Often people are not sure whether to look, touch, or in some instances sit within the sculpture. The sculptures deal with movement, effects of movement, and ones sense of control.
In November 2006 the sculpture "Rail Riders' Throne" was included in a new book "Along the Way MTA Arts for Transit", published by Monacelli Press. Articles have have also been published in The New York Times, Art News Magazine, New York Newsday, and many others publications. In the past, my artwork has been featured in segments on ABC television, Paragon Cable Television,The Outer Limits TV series, and a film for AvidTechnology.
Currently I am an adjunct Art Professor at The New School University and The Educational Alliance. In the past I have taught at Parsons School of Design, New York Institute of Technology, The Sculpture Center, New Jersey City University, and Chabot College.
