Mary Annella “Mimi” Frank

Ms Frank earned a B.A. at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, where she focused her art studies on the process of oxy-acetylene welding, the lost-wax process of bronze casting and stone carving. She pursued an M.F. A. at the University of Georgia and completed her degree at the University of Maryland. Soon after graduation, she earned a Maryland State Arts Grant for Excellence in the Visual Arts. Her work is exhibited nationally.

Her sculpture, drawing and public art uses source material such as geography, mythical histories and personal narratives. Intrigued by undervalued stories the resulting singular images, objects or symbols recount a story to the viewer.
