Events & Workshops

Saturday, September 29th

from 4:00 – 5:00 pm
At the foot of the Manhattan Bridge,

Plymouth St. and Washington St

The Sculptors Guild is hosting a molten iron demonstration as part of the Dumbo Arts Festival, where fifty souvenir medallions will be cast in iron before the eyes of festival goers.  Once the medallions are
broken free from their sand mold encasements and baptized in ice
cold water from the banks of the East River they will be gifted to those onlookers who show the greatest enthusiasm.
So be sure to bring your cameras and beware, the iron bug is contagious!  A fun, memorable and safe time is guaranteed for all.
