The Sculptors Guild, a nonprofit organization of professional artists, was founded in 1937 to provide free exhibitions of contemporary sculpture-

Its members, chosen on the basis of excellence, work in a variety of aesthetic perspectives techniques, and materials.

 

Both office and exhibition space are located at The Soho Building,110 Greene Street, Suite 601 in New York City. Hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am - 6pm and by appointment.

 

With our first exhibition in 1938, the Guild introduced outdoor shows of contemporary sculpture to New York City. There have been seventeen of these held in such places as the garden of the former Guggenheim Museum, the terrace of the International Building at Rockefeller Plaza, Bryant Park, and the New York Botanical Garden.

 

With our initial show at Lever House, we introduced the exhibition of professional art shows in corporate lobbies. We have since exhibited there thirty-three times.

 

The Guild has frequently combined demonstrations and lectures with its exhibitions. Traveling exhibitions have included shows circulated by Carnegie corporation, American Federation of Arts, the Board of Education of the City of New York, and Hofstra University.
